Microllam® LVL minimizes many of the inconsistencies of wood.
The characteristics of Microllam LVL make it ideal for working in concrete forming applications. To produce Microllam Laminated Veneer Lumber (LVL), sheets of veneer peeled from logs are carefully dried, ultrasonically graded for strength, and evaluated to ensure uniform thickness and moisture content. The sheets are coated with adhesive, layered, and subjected to heat and pressure to achieve a permanent bond. This process minimizes many of the natural inconsistencies found in wood, such as knots, splits and wane. It also makes Microllam LVL durable so it will stand up to multiple reuses.
